What is the GST rate on hotel rooms in India?

As per CGST Act, 2017 (Notification 11/2017-CT(R) as amended July 2022): hotel rooms with a tariff up to ₹999 attract 0% GST; tariffs between ₹1,000 and ₹7,499 attract 12% GST; and tariffs of ₹7,500 and above attract 18% GST.
